“A Variation Of A Theme”

The hunger rises within her as this night falls softly on her shoulders, as smooth as a raven's wings. Her desire for his blood is so intense it's blinding. She senses him across thousands of miles, across the ocean; he's stirring her ravenous hunger to no end. She will have him; of this, you can be certain. There is nothing, or no one in this world or any other, of any power to prevent her. Don't ever test her; it will be your end. She waits as her tears fall softly in the beauty and sanctity of this splendid night. Lonely is this night, same as any other. Relentless is her sorrow and ferocity. She is an enigma in her duplicity, the most rapacious of hunters, yet secretly in the dark corners of her heart, she is fragile and tender. Her scars make up so much of her beauty, mystery, madness, and even her ethereal lingering sadness. She has become a self-imposed outcast, the wolf, the vampire, rejected, unwanted, denied. Don't be fooled; it's all a disguise; this immortal jaguar is intact. She has become this beast in sorrow repetitiously. A surreptitious jaguar lingering in the shadows of the wolf you see with your eyes, a clever disguise. The heart is broken; take it as a token and be on your way. She no longer cares; beginning today, she just slinks away into the night. She will continue into the night until she finds him warm, his heart beating, veins filled with his sweet crimson splendor, the essence of life itself. He is her essence of life in his beauty and vitality; his immortal beauty is unmeasurable. Amongst her pain, he is the beauty that defines life. She can't imagine living in a world without him. Even as he is beyond the grasp of her delicate fingers this night, she can feel the warmth of his touch comforting her this night. This immortal creature longs for home, which is not a place but her home nonetheless. You have your "gods" and "devils"; she has Herself!
