“Goodnight Wolf”
I can’t see tomorrow I can hardly find, today.
I’m looking with all my heart.
It’s so hard trying to see through the tears.
This pain in my heart stabs me like a dagger.
Although, now I’m just numb from the pain.
This unspeakable agony is crushing my soul.
Even though my tears fall softly to the ground,
no one notices.
I seem to have them fooled
with the big bright smile, I wear.
Inside my heart is breaking,
yet no one knows or cares.
They all have their own life, love, joy and, dreams.
This Wolf walks alone, invisible, broken.
One day mercy will come and this invisible Wolf,
will just blow away like dust into the wind.
On the wings of the Raven, my dreams flew away.
I wait, I watch, I wonder.
My Wolf, now I need him more than ever.
He is nowhere in sight.
As my heart falls to the ground,
it shatters into pieces,
never to be put back together again.
Blow out the candle, extinguish the light,
this Wolf just disappears one last time into the night.
