“Searing Light”

Wild children of the night, slithering, crawling, taking flight.

To the human type beings, we must be quite a sight?

I can see you now, but still you give me fright.

I can't remember why, do you come bringing darkness or light?

Dark light can be so beautiful when cast right.

It would seem I'm always in defense mode ready to fight.

Sit with me for a spell, tell me a tale, share with me your plight.

I too am one of deep shades of darkness, and searing light.

It is beautiful when balanced, shades of darkness flattering shades of light.

My dark angel, when I look upon your beautiful face; all I can see is your light.

Eyes so big and bright, I can remember how it feels to be embraced by you so tight.

Such a spell you have cast, of the beautiful color between blue and green; so opposite of night.

Delicate as the kiss of a rose petal, yet scorching as the heat of this inferno you ignite.

Seductress, you are without any shame, slinking through my dreams this night.

As you lie in wait, in stealth, you are the bait, and wait to ensnare by sight.

One look is all it takes to capture your prey, look at them twirling in delight.

How is it that you were once captured that night?

When the time comes, it will be interesting to see how you make it right.
